Description
The European Commission and Languages Connect invite you to 'Try a new language' on Monday, 26 September.
To coincide with the European Day of Languages on Monday, 26 September, we will provide free virtual taster classes in nine languages - Bulgarian, Finnish, French, Greek, Irish, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish. You are encouraged to try more than one language, but please book your session(s) HERE to avoid disappointment, as spaces are limited. The relevant zoom link will be sent to registered participants before lunchtime on the day of the event.
Finnish, Greek and Japanese sessions will take place at 5pm, 5.30pm, 6pm and 6.30pm |
Bulgarian, French and Irish sessions will take place at 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm and 7.30pm |
Polish, Portuguese and Spanish sessions will take place at 7pm, 7.30pm, 8pm and 8.30pm. |
As part of Culture Night on Friday, 23 September, we will provide free 20-minute taster classes 'in person' at Europe House in Dublin in Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Estonian, German, Italian, Korean, Lithuanian, Romanian and Ukrainian. Again, spaces are limited and you are therefore encouraged to book your session(s) HERE to avoid disappointment. For those who want to try more than one language (encouraged!), refreshments will be provided on the night (23 September only) if you want to take a break between sessions.
Catalan, Chinese, Estonian, German and Romanian sessions will take place at 5pm, 5.30pm, 6pm and 6.30pm |
Croatian, Italian, Korean, Lithuanian and Ukrainian sessions will take place at 7pm, 7.30pm, 8pm and 8.30pm |
The ‘Try a new language event’ is also part of the European Culture Trail, which will take place during Culture Night. The Culture Trail has been organised by the EUNIC network and you can download your ‘passport’ HERE.
