Translating for the EU – a virtual visit to the European Commission’s translation service

Do you want to know more about what the EU’s translators do?  Are you interested in working in a multilingual and multicultural environment? Do you want to know how to become a translator for the EU institutions?

Organised especially for Irish university students, this virtual visit to the European Commission’s translation services will give you the opportunity to hear from staff translators at the European Commission about their career paths and what their jobs entail (see programme below). The event will be opened by Stella Clarke, Head of the English language department at the European Commission.
