Description
To mark International Women’s Day 2025, the European Commission Representation in Ireland together with the Irish Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine are hosting an event celebrating Irish women in farming.
By placing a spotlight on successful women farmers, we aim to share innovative ideas and to discuss women’s crucial role in a sustainable Irish farming sector.
Opening remarks by: Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon TD.
Followed by a panel discussion with:
- Ailbhe Gerrard, Farmer, Brookfield Farm, ACORNS Community Member
- Dr Anne-Marie Butler, Head of Education Programme, TEAGASC
- Karen McCabe, Farmer & Columnist, Irish Farmers Journal
- Dr Maura Farrell, Lead Coordinator, EU Horizon Europe FLIARA
The discussion will be moderated by Stella Meehan, Journalist, AgriLand.
The panel discussion will be followed by a light lunch.
