Description
The European Commission and Languages Connect invite you to 'Try a new language' on Friday, 18 September.
As part of Culture Night, we will provide free 20-minute taster classes 'in person' at Europe House in Dublin. Languages available include: Croatian, Dutch, Finnish, French, Irish, Irish Sign Language, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Japanese.
As spaces are limited, we advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Booking will open here on 18 August – book ahead as spaces are limited.
You are of course encouraged to try more than one language and refreshments will be provided on the night for anybody wanting to take a break between sessions.
To mark the European Day of Languages, on Friday 25 September we will provide virtual taster classes in a further ten languages - Danish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Spanish, Chinese and Ukrainian.
Booking will open soon – book ahead as spaces are limited. The relevant zoom link will be sent to registered participants before lunchtime on the day of the event. Again, you are encouraged to try more than one language!
The ‘Try a new language event’ is also part of the European Culture Trail, which will take place during Culture Night. The Culture Trail has been organised by the EUNIC network and you can download your ‘passport’ here
