European Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders and Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Dara Calleary will participate in a ‘Consumer Dialogue for Ireland’ on Friday, 25 November in Chartered Accountants House, Dublin 2.
Commissioner Reynders will introduce the European Commission’s ‘New Consumer Agenda’. Minister Calleary will speak about Challenges for Consumer Policy in Ireland. The event will be moderated by Conor Pope, The Irish Times Consumer Affairs Correspondent.
Panel discussions, involving representatives of consumer organisations, business, academia, and the European Commission will examine the challenges and possible solutions for consumers in the green and digital transitions.
The event will also include workshops offering advice to citizens on what steps they can take to reduce their energy bills.
