Description

The European Commission and Languages Connect invite you to 'Try a new language' on Friday, 19 September.
As part of Culture Night on Friday, 19 September, we will provide free 20-minute taster classes 'in person' at Europe House in Dublin in Arabic, Chinese, Croatian, German, ISL (Irish Sign Language), Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. As spaces are limited, we advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
You are of course encouraged to try more than one language and refreshments will be provided on the night for anybody wanting to take a break between sessions.
And to coincide with the European Day of Languages on Friday, 26 September, we will provide virtual taster classes in a further eight languages - Danish, Finnish, French, Greek, Irish, Italian, Maltese and Ukrainian. Booking will open soon – book ahead as spaces are limited. The relevant zoom link will be sent to registered participants before lunchtime on the day of the event.
Again, you are encouraged to try more than one language!
The ‘Try a new language event’ is also part of the European Culture Trail, which will take place during Culture Night. The Culture Trail has been organised by the EUNIC network and you can download your ‘passport’ here.
